hear ye hear ye it's official... adele's crazy... (no i'm not.. she says)... tides have turned.. adele is officially unofficially blogging. greetings to all in the far away land of Singapore.. and beyond... let me introduce myself as adele's protege... joyce teo... let me begin... for
the past 3 weeks or so... i have had the burden of meeting adele lee...
it hurts me so to see her face... JUST KIDDING... her face ... ne'ermind.. la..
=] she has given me the opportunity to get in touch with my true
singaporian side... [comment from adele... joyce you spelled it
wrong... - - - comment from joyce... evidently i am not singapoREAN] of
which i have almost none... other than the fact that i was born in
singapore... i
sit here listening to adele play the guitar... and wonder how much
happier life will be when she leaves... my eyes will surely not be sore
from the sight of her... and my ears will rejoice at the lack of the
sound of her voice... okok..
just kidding... it's been a delight =] meeting adele... although she
tries to make me girly... (i am NOT doing a side part...) ...
CORRECTION: although she gives me many girl suggestions such as
moisturizer.. and hair stuff.. eww... it so happens that she's gonna
give me a hair cut today... if you hear a blood curdling scream ...
chances are, that would be me... the touch of her cold hand would kill
anyone... it turns out that i'm a very mean person... very bitter and angry inside... apparently... ok... now for an update from adele ------------------------------------- canada's been so much fun... i think joyce is the coolest person EVER...
jon hits me like none other... i have many a bruise and have been sent
to the hospital many a time... if you don't recognize me when i come
back, you can blame jon... i'm sitting in andrew's new room wondering
why cats are so stupid... especially the one named katinka
ingabagovananana chia =]... or something like that... i've
picked up an amazingly cool canadian accent ... words such as capo and
chocolate have officially taken a canadian liking. and my la's
have officially changed into eh's. i'm becoming
canadian-washed... maybe not so canadian-washed than chia-washed...
it's inevitable to spend time with these people and not pick up any of
their lingo...
it's also inevitable to be obese here... let's just say i'm far from
being anorexic =]... food everywhere... for example, these doritos i'm
munching on now... or the reese's peanut butter cups from the hershey's
chocolate factory... or all the delicious barbecue we've had in the
past few days... let's just say... if you see a blimp on the ground,
make sure you say hi =]... well folks, i believe this is the end of my road.... peace out homies =] adele lee JUST FOR THE RECORD:.... i'm kidding

Use me, break me, waste me on You, Lord Ruin me, take me, waste me on You For to die is to live..
To starve is to feast and less of me is more Jesus Lord, I want it all Lord, I want it all If i lose my life I gain everything And at the cross, away with all death's sting Lord I want it all Lord I want it all
There is power in the blood There is victory in Jesus Come in power, wash me clean Overwhelm me with Your presence
There is power in the blood There is victory in Jesus There is glory in the cross Help me find my gain in loss
I wish to soak in his presence:) That's the cry of my heart. To know Him and love Him and to be found in Him.

There's this new series on the discovery channel that has gotten my attention. It's titled "I Shouldn't be Alive". Well, guess its title is kinda self explanatory la.
Anyways it features all these people who've survived various worst-case-scenarios like being lost in the snow and in the amazon. (that's just the first two episodes aired so far..) Man, but it sure is scary..and intriguing. So go watch it!
Reminds me of when I was little and dad would bring me to watch these so called "educational" movies surrounding natural disasters which usually involve either a volcano eruption, hurricane or earthquake. These movies feed off our worst fears and of course being so little, they would so freak me out. I still remember walking out of the theatre at times imagining that a storm was approaching and visualizing storm clouds gathering and winds coming together forming one heck of a hurricane. At other times I would dream that a hidden volcano that was on the brink of becoming active, was found right here in Singapore, though im sure thats not geographically possible.
Now this new show on the discovery channel brings back the same thrill I felt back then. I love cable :) It's a loyal companion, that'll never cease to amuse me.

I adoooore tasha!- who is actually picco's mommy and also chrystals pet. she's so tiny compared to her son who's like, well....fat. Such a sweeetheart that girl is..in fact she looks like a billy goat from certain angles. I like her. So docile and un-hyperactive.
Wisdom teeth coming out sometime next week. feed me lots of mango pudding, porridge and ice cream.

I received a gift yesterday that made all my pre-calculus gitters disappear!
He's Mr Wonderful.
Here's a short description of this man: "Mr. Wonderful has been carefully developed with today's modern woman in mind. He is complete with good looks, sense of style, sensitivity, charm and is genuinely sincere."
Plus, he says all the right things! 6 different right things to be exact.
- "The ball game really issn't that important, I'd rather spend time with you."
- "Let's just cuddle tonight."
- "Actually I'm not sure which way to go...I'll turn in here, and ask for directions."
- "Here, you take the remote..as long as I'm with you, I don't care what we watch."
- "You know honey, why don't you just relax, and let me make dinner tonight."
- "Awwwwww, can't your mother stay another week?"
Well, I guess the ideal man does exist, in a plush toy keychain the size of your palm who can only speak these 6 sentences.
But oh well, we can't get everything in life, can we? ha. :)
Calculus was so much more difficult then expected. 20 marks gone already. Hopefully I can still retain my A. TDP on thursday. Time to mugg!:)

squeaksqueaksqueak it goes
You know how it is with doggie toys.
They come in all shape, sizes and textures now and some even make sounds to further engage the animal playing with it. The price of these toys range from $5 to a whoppping 20 odd dollars. So mom just bought this new toy for picco. It's this cheap five bucks red rubber thingy with a dogs head and spikes surrounding the rest of it's body. One heck of a freaky toy i must say. And the worst part is that it gives out a piercing high pitched airy sounding squeeeaaak. Though my darling piccolo loves his new toy, everyone else absolutely detests it.
So my pooor dogggie who has nothing much to do in life but play with his toys, can now only play with that particular one whenever he's home alone or maybe with my mom since she's so tolerant and loving toward him.
We'll see how long his attention span lasts. :)
Calculus Paper in approximately in 2 hours or so. And my anxiety level is increasing at a rate of approximately _______ per hour.:) (i dunno how to measure anxiety level). :)
Let's go kick some business calculus ass!

Riding the bus with my parents
We've been carless for the past week or so.Since Abrie's accident, which left the white pajero in an irrepairable state, a series of unfortunate events have been unfolding. First, since the accident, daddy made the decision to abandon his ex-boss' trusty old blue EA4A pajero that has served him and our family for years in light of probable safety hazards. Sigh. So now our sturdy Honda Stream is shared between mommy and daddy. But since we traded that in for a Nissan Sunny last week or so, and have since been waiting for the arrival of the new car, mom and dad have been introduced to the wonderful world of public transport.
I guess it would be a funny thing to see how two people in their maturing years take on the public transport system of buses and trains despite years of the convenience of a car. The sense of satisfaction derived from discovering what bus goes where coupled with a successful bus or train trip is often evident in my moms face and demeanour. Even daddy has been bragging about knowing how to take a bus to church, something I've heard repeatedly.
For the first time today I took a bus with my parents. We headed down to parkway for dinner and it was such a strange but refreshing experience. Mom was relating a story of a lady who got on the bus and had hoped for her ez link card to be detected amongst the stuff in her bag. And how it was such a funny sight her fumbling with her bag, twisting it in all different angles anticipating the beep. Such a familiar story and visual that was. I found it hardly ammusing but she seemed totally delighted. Oh well. :)
We had gotten seats on the bus, but I noticed how daddy had to have one of his hands gripping the handles overhead at all times. It was just funny to me. To mom too. Figured it was a sense of security thing, or maybe that he just didnt know where else to put his hands. Or maybe it gave him an extra push in standing when it was time to get off. Who knows really.
I now really appreciate the convenience that a car brings. And how its such a luxury indeed.
We have never attempted grocery shopping without a car before, and today we did. :)
